Affiliate Disclosure

MotorRank ranks every used-car listing on twelve factors and shows the math. We also help buyers with the steps that come after picking a car — getting a vehicle-history report, lining up financing, comparing insurance quotes. For some of those steps we partner with third-party providers and earn a commission when a buyer chooses to use one of those partners.

Where commissions apply

Any link or button on MotorRank that takes you to a partner site for a quote, an application, or a purchase is an affiliate link. We mark these inline (for example, “via EverQuote” next to an insurance CTA), and the same URL goes through /go/… so we can attribute the click to the right partner.

Outbound dealer listing pages are notaffiliate links. When you click “View Listing” or “Carfax Report” on a vehicle, you go directly to the dealer or report site. No commission is involved in the dealer outbound today.

What doesn’t change

• The ranking is not for sale. A dealer cannot pay to be ranked higher. The deal score, factor breakdown, and listing ordering are computed from the same twelve-factor formula for every listing.
• You pay the same price.Affiliate commissions come from the partner’s marketing budget, not from a markup on your purchase.
• You can ignore the offer. The dealer page for any listing is always one click away regardless of whether you engage with any partner offer.

• EverQuote— auto insurance quote comparison. Surfaced as the “Get insurance quotes” CTA on listing detail pages.
• Insurify — auto insurance quote comparison (alternate partner used in some A/B tests).

This list grows as we add partners. Each new partner gets an entry here and an inline disclosure on the surface where it appears.
